What do you plan to do this week to help a property sell faster? If you haven’t planned something special, invest 50 seconds of your time to read the following 3 unconventional tips.
Utility bills can be used as flyers
Buyers always want to know how much will they have to pay for utilities. Why not transform one of the bills to homeowners received (one that proves the low home maintenance costs) into a flyer? Just scan, delete sensitive info and print the listing details on the back. It’s a simple way to create a flyer that will get noticed and you will prove one of the advantages of buying that property.
Keywords can make or break a marketing strategy
The words used to describe a property have the power to make it more or less attractive to buyers. The trick is to know which words to use and which to leave out. According to HouseHunt.com, terms that reek of desperation like “motivated seller” actually prolong the time the property is on the market with at least 10%. “Beautiful” and “gorgeous” are some of the most common words used in real estate ads, but they still speed up sales by 15%.
Ads that mention “landscaping” get sold with 20% faster than the one that don’t. Ads that mention “solar panels” or “storage” space also lead to faster sales.
Small gifts can make a house hard to forget
When you’re hosting an open house, take the time to find some great gifts that you could offer those that visit. It should be something that they would like to use/keep and that won’t break the bank.
Some real estate agents offer free water bottles with personalised labels (the address of the property, a motto, some pictures of the house).
