For September’s “Thank You, Workmate” employee recognition initiative, we commend Sarah, Administrative Assistant for a U.S.-based sustainability consulting firm.
Sarah spends most of her time overseeing her client’s various calendars, social media accounts, and email inboxes. She also arranges travel accommodations and handles a wide variety of administrative tasks.
Her client had this to say:
I have nothing but great things to say about Sarah! She has been an amazing addition to our team and we are so grateful for her continued help.
Terrific work, Sarah! We’re glad to have you as a Workmate.
Best practices
Sarah had a few things to share when it comes to lessons that helped her perform better at work:
I learned to be more adaptable at my job. This enabled me to do a wider variety of tasks. As a result, I became more confident, reliable, and eager to accept even more challenging responsibilities.
I didn’t settle for merely meeting my client’s expectations; I aimed to delight them by learning to be more resourceful and anticipating their needs.
Remember: Just like Sarah, you can be recognized for the hard work you put in. But to make this happen, you must consistently accomplish your planned work outcomes, produce at a high level, and demonstrate to your client how valuable you are to their business.
