Remote Workmate is pleased to announce the “Thank You, Workmate” initiative which seeks to acknowledge our Workmates’ performance and hard work.
Our reasoning behind this project is simple: we believe employees are the most crucial part of any company. They’re more important than processes, ideas, proprietary technology, or products and services because all those you can create.
Your employees, however, are a key part of your business because the quality of their work and interactions with your customers are necessary to your company’s bottom line.
For your people to function at the highest possible level and deal admirably with customers, they have to feel invested emotionally in their work. An effective way achieve this is through employee recognition, which satisfies several psychological needs.
Here are the other important points of the project:
Q: How often will we recognize Workmates?
A: We will be recognizing one Workmate each month, for now.
Q: How do we choose the recipients?
A: We will reach out to different clients each month for comments regarding their Remote Workmates. The Workmate who gets the most positive review will get the recognition for that month. Ideally, these reviews include notable, quantifiable achievements.
Q: What happens when a Workmate is recognized?
A: We’ll announce the recognition on RWM’s various social media accounts. Recognized Workmates will also be given a token of appreciation for their outstanding performance.
Motivational speaker and author Simon Sinek said it best with this quotable quote:
When people are financially invested, they want a return. When people are emotionally invested, they want to contribute.
Research by Bain & Company – as reported in Harvard Business Review – has found that, inspired employees are about 250% more productive compared to merely “satisfied”.
With the “Thank You, Workmate” initiative, we seek to reward our top-performing Workmates and provide the spark that will energise them to go beyond their client’s expectations, and even their own.
